Okay, so I found something that was EXTREMELY helpful in explaining why I should give a rip about Twitter.

http://www.thisistrue.com/blog-twitter_ ... _care.html

The author of this blog quotes another guy about the Five Stages of Twitter Acceptance. After reading this guy's entire blog entry, I have moved from

Stage 1 --Denial -- "I think Twitter sounds stupid. Why would anyone care what other people are doing right now?"

to

Stage 2-- Presence -- "OK, I don't really get why people love it, but I guess I should at least create an account."

And now I have some DIRECTION and PURPOSE to move me through Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Bottom line: If you are going to Tweet (not that you have to, 'cause you can just read everyone else's Tweets) provide information or entertainment--in 140 characters or less. ;)

(Just as a sidenote, I found this blog by typing in "Twitter" "why" in to Google.)

But what if you don't "give a tweet?" lol I just thought that sounded funny. Sorry... It's been a LONG day. 13 hour shift at Olive Garden on V-day... ouch! My poor feet.
