Forbes utter foul-up

Forbes magazine has confirmed their incompetency when it comes to discussing Amway -
http://www.forbes.com/lists/2009/10/billionaires-2009-richest-people_Richard-DeVos_GLPH.html

Not only do they call us a "pyramid selling scheme" - which are illegal, and claim we peddle cosmetics and nutritional products "door-to-door", they can't even get the picture of an 83yr old billionaire right!

Either that or they're REAL impressed with the cosmetics and nutritional products!

If I hadn't seen with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it - somebody should be held accountable for such rubbish.

Is that a picture of Richard Jr. (Dick) DeVos? I know it's not Doug. I've seen Doug many times.

They got it right for the 400 list, and it looks like they just copied the whole thing BUT the image.

It is a bit crazy...the article.

However, perhaps I am just reading it wrong but couldn't they be talking about "back in the day" with regards to the door to door peddling? It was at the end of a brief history of DeVos.

Absolutely disagree with the "pyramid selling scheme".

The person(s) who did the Forbes piece on "The World's Billionaires" obviously didn't do a thorough job in their research in '08 or '09.

Although they are still using old stereo types and incorrect data, on the bright side they did get the sales figures correct and at last they have gone from calling us a "soap" company to where they are now recognizing us as a "health and beauty" company. I'd call that progress. ;)

About the picture, you decide...

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I guess if I was Rich - I'd be flattered. If I was Dick, on the other hand......

And that was just about the worst picture of Rich (who's a very photogenic sort of guy!) I think I've ever seen......
