So, those folk probably don't give a rat's ass what the cost of shaving cream is in Grand Rapids, since it is irrelevant to their market.

:)

You are right. I bet that in Australia, $30 is a real bargain for a can of shaving cream. I would bet that is is cheap enough that the average sewer rat can afford it.

Funnily enough we're not trying to sell "bargain" products to sewer rats.

It's no wonder your Amway experience kept failing ... 3 times.

Perhaps you had the wrong approach?

Here's some pricing on shaving gels in Australia - from $7 or so up to more than $50.

Of course, based on past experience I expect you to completely ignore this.
“This business is about opportunity for people who want something more than what they have … and are willing to work for it, to learn, to grow, to develop themselves and others, to build something of lasting value, to free themselves from the tyranny of need and want, to embrace independence and self-determination, and to achieve financial freedom.” - Jim Dornan

Tolsom is no doubt a good product and at its new price is "acceptable".

Their are others though that do a perfectly good job for under 10 bucks.

The after shave soothing lotion though is the best I've used by far and I will still purchase it gladly at $20. Far better than Nivea or the Loreal one.

Getting a little teste, are we?

The fact that you pay an annual renewal fee each year to keep you ibo number does not make you successful.

So here's an idea.

Why don't you post your income from Amway along with the amount of time you have been involved.

Then the world can see whether you are succeeding or failing in this business.

BTW, I never stated that Amway had the most expensive shaving cream in the world or in my town. I am sure that we could find some that cost $100 per can if we knew where to look.

And you are correct in demonstrating that the internet is certainly a more efficient way to find the most expensive shaving cream than trying to call or visit every store in town like I did. Just minutes ago, I googled "most expensive shaving cream" and found one on Amazon for $38. I simply don't know how many consumers are going to be actively searching for something like that.

But you are right, if people look hard enough they can find products that cost more than some of Amway's.

For instance, we all know how expensive Amway's new miricle water is. But is it the MOST expensive water out there? No. I read that Madonna spends $10,000 per month on bottled water that costs $5 for a small bottle of "high quality" water (roughly $1 per ounce). But if I called every store in town, I doubt I could find water for $5 per bottle.

The bottom line is that Amway's shaving cream at $15 or $30 is like Modonna's $5 bottle of water. Maybe high qualiy but out of range for most consumers.

aj, can you clairfy your post? :dontknow:

Did you mean,

MichMan is not an atheist, Democrat, drag queen, Barry Manilow fan, AND a sewer rat

Or did you mean,

MichMan is not an atheist, Democrat, drag queen, Barry Manilow fan, OR a sewer rat (as in "he is NONE of the above" which would be much better)

One word can make all the difference. :D

If this were an MLM with one product--shaving cream--then I'd care.

But since there are a few hundred other products to use and sell, I simply could care less about the shaving cream.

If it ain't a good value, then don't use it and don't promote it.

Simple as that.
