In the beginning, it's just you ....
... just one guy, and everyone else is looking on, thinking your nuts ...

but you keep going anyway, and after a while it's not just you, someone else joins in ... and everyone just looks on, thinking your just a couple of crazy guys with crazy ideas ...

... and then it's three ....

... and then .... UNSTOPPABLE!!

Hat tip to the incomparable Seth Godin for highlighting this one!
That is a cool video and analogy.

Look how long it takes the second guy to join and the third guy....then it just snowballs. Very appropriate.
It is only through labor and painful effort, by grim energy and resolute courage, that we move on to better things. --Roosevelt
After the first minute, he really got momentum going on ... :yahoo: [Image: ban-hump.gif][Image: ban-split.gif][Image: ban-cha.gif]

Thats a cool one :-)

Sometime back I read the book by Janusz Szajna [Network Marketing a way of life]http://www.amazon.com/Network-Marketing-...0968482007 that between 1908 - 1918 the # of cars sold in US was 10% of the cars sold between 1918 - 1927 .. so the critical mass stage arrived sometime in 1918 - 1919 and supporting infrastructure + higher disposable enabled common people to buy and use a car....

There is a great article by Harry S Dent [Economist - Harvard Univ.] S-Curve which explains the phenomenon above - http://www.hsdent.com/s-curve/

Just my 2 cents.
Another interesting take by Harry S Dent : http://www.docstoc.com/docs/3737560/Harry-Dent more reasons for us to feel elated as more and more people will gatecrash into this opportunity called MLM aka to use the soap and sell it too... [not my words but heard them many times].
