Tex is definately the most active critic these days (referring to the comments section). Is it best to not mention him at all? I know he loves the publicity.

Tex is rivalled only by JoeCool. I bet you both of them lurk on this site.

Anyway, what a great article and great visibility.

Really it's a "scam" is just a laughable criticism in this age.

We just sponsored a new ABO but when he started to google Amway he came up with a lot of rubbish - he went on to a board that warned him against joining Amway - His parents told him they had a friend who was in Amway and warned them against it but they also told him the products were fantastic - he has decided not to continue with the business after a day of 'research' - We wished him well for the future :cray: :cray:

Yup, just had a downline ABO who had actually joined a few weeks ago but screwed up their payment so wasn't actually registered quit too. Friday she was planning Weekend Seminar accomodation with their sponsor. Monday they quit, no particular reason. Sunday night they had a dinner party with friends. Well gee ....

On the other hand, sponsored another new couple this afternoon. They even raised the issue of some of the stuff they'd read on the 'net, didn't concern them just wanted the background story.

Interestingly enough, the second couple are orders of magnitude more "successful" in their lives to date than the first lady.

I think as you sponsor folks, you NEED to tell them that there's negative stuff on the internet about Amway. Heck - half of it was posted by ME :hello: in response to the abuses of some of the AMOs back in the '80's, '90's, and early '00's. And I DON'T apologize for what I posted - because the abuse was rampant within some groups and needed to be stopped.

But all of you have my permission to copy this post - because now I'm here and encouraging you fine folks because I truly believe you are running honest businesses with the best interests of your downline at heart. I know each generation of IBO has said "we're different" - but NOW it's true. The critics are still around - but the issues being brought up are mostly old stuff. By admitting the criticism is there - but encouraging your recruits to look at it in a "time" context, I believe you CAN overcome the negativity.
